What the Production Companies in Northern Norway are up to...

This is a brief sneak preview of what the norwegian participants are up to; Common for all is that the v.a.t. declarations were due on the 11th of February.

All have noted 20-24 march in their calendars, and are looking forward to meet you all in Skellefteå!
Nordland film, Ivar Hartviksen.
Is at the moment in post production with the film ”Gutten på myra”, and starts shooting on a documentary production next week.
Kautokeino Film, Andreas Ausland
They have produced a pilot for a TV-series, and are at the moment working on selling the concept. Another pilot for a TV concept, ”Offroad Finnmark”, is ready for presentation for the investors. They have several other projects in the pipeline; 3-4 feature films, 1 novelle film, 2 documentaries and the production of two documentary commersials, profiling the Hurtigruten.
Originalfilm, Mona Steffensen
Is working away on getting progress in her projects. She is focusing on the feature film ”Robin og Beate” and a TV-drama. She is also aiming to produce a short film this winter/spring, and is casting horses at the moment.
Grape Film, Bård Grape
Was in Tromsø filmfestival where he had photo on three films that were screened. (”Piano forte”, ”En dikter langs en fjord”, and his own film ”The Beat” ). Has been working on finalising a cinematic version of ”Piano forte”, as well as post production to enhance his own film.He is collaborating with Medvind Media on the TV series ”Sjøsprøyt”.
JAB Film, John Arvid Berger
The documentary ”Min elskede” is in mid production, and already sold to NRK. His other documentary ”Vindenes hus”, is in the final stages of production, it is now a matter of distribution.He is producing ”Sjøsprøyt”, a 6 episode TV series for NRK . Three episodes were shot in the autmn 2009, and the following 3 will start production in march/april to be finalised by the autumn 2010. Sjøsprøyt is produced in Medvind Media, where Jon Arvid is a partner.
Aktiv Media, Pekka Johnsen
Is producing two commersial promotion films. He is busy with TV-streaming as well as producing 2-3 live broadcasts . (Horseracing). He has had a ”student” working in his business to gain work experience, and is finishing the tutoring these days. He is also handling work on the technical side and on the web for the Artic Channel.
Orange Production, Kirsti Westerbotn
Is in production of the documentary ”Better days”. The plan is to finalise the shooting by May, and to have a pilot ready by the autumn 2010. She is researching and developing 2-3 projects. She has continously photo jobs, and is planning to create a new web page as well as logo.
Sweet Films, Joachim Lyng and Jim Hansen
Are in development with two feature film projects. Have just finalised a corporate promotion video for the University of Tromsø, and is in pre production on another for the travel industry in the region. They are in the final stages of their work with the international co-production ”Robert Mitchum is dead”.
