'Lopun alku' - 'The beginning of the end'

The new Finnish/Swedish co-production TV-drama 'The beginning of the end' (aka Lopun Alku) recently finished shooting.

beg-1Film Arc has talked with Hessu Tönkyrä, from the company Tasankojenmies, location manager at the shoot.


- The story is about a young woman, who comes back home after over twenty years. She has to struggle between her own relatives, which are on different sides in conflict according to forest industry and reindeer herding.
Hessu also says that the early spring this year caused some difficulties in logistics and also shooting.

The beginning of the end airs in winter 2010 on YLE1 (Finnish TV) and also SVT (Swedish Television). The runtime is estimated to 110 min (2 episodes). Filmpool Nord is one of the co-producing companies.beg-2
