Learning from Jay Schweitzer in USA
Johan Hannu, film maker from Luleå/Gällivare, Sweden, and a participant in the Film Arc project is right now visiting the USA west coast. He will partake in the shooting of some new extreme sport films, among other a film with the famous motocross team Metal Mulisha.
- It’s great to be here, to network and learn. I enjoy experiencing how people are working here with extreme sports, and how huge it really is, says Johan.
Johan is learning from the movie maker Jay Schweitzer that both produces and directs Mulishas next film, and his own “On The Pipe 6”.
- Jay is also doing a documentary about long distance jumpers with the same feeling as Evil Knievel, says Johan.
Johan continues:
- It’s very interesting to see the difference between USA and Sweden. As you all already know, there is a lot more money to use here for film making, but at the same time not enough. The constant struggle to create as much as possible with as little money as possible.
