The summer is here, and a lot of you already have or will have holidays. And what is nicer than catching up on some reading in the summer sun?

One year ago Janne Niskala, the producer of Vaski Filmi, wouldn’t have believed he is now promoting a document in a tight co-operation with a South Korean producer. Last autumn, he met Min-Chul Kim in Pusan film festival in South Korea, and the rest is history, we hope.
The final two days of the 2010 Creative Summit in Skellefteå started off with a keynote from Peter Engel of Danish movie-making powerhouse Zentropa. Peter talked about Zentropa’s way of working and how they always try to involve humour (without necessarily being politically correct) in their productions.
Day one of the 2010 Creative Summit in Skellefteå, Sweden, started off with moderator Alf Rehn and David Eriksson, CEO and Creative Director of North Kingdom, welcoming the attendees to the Nordanå theatre. Creative Summit is an event that is tailor-made for creative and talented people in the region of Västerbotten.

I went there with the purpose to find out more about the new tendencies in Russian film industry and to find possibilities for collaboration with Russian film makers. The level of ambition in the Russian pavilion was very high.
